What a wonderful time to live in Brooksville! Even the cold isn't cold, the air is so clear, the trees are so beautiful, and downtown is so quaint (the whole block of it, haha). This Saturday at 10 a.m. the Christmas parade is downtown with bands and clowns, horses and floats, of course Santa will be there!!
I believe it starts north of town on Howell Avenue and travels south along Howell to Ft. Dade. The next block will have the usual Saturday's Farmer Market. Local produce growers, local honey, organic plants, homemade green products, homemade soaps, healthy chocolates and more in front of the steps of the old Courthouse . . . arranged by Rising Sun Cafe that is on Main Street "kitty korner" from the steps of the Old Courthouse. (by the way, Main street runs north and south, and as soon as you are north of Ft Dade they change the name from Main Street to Howell - now you know where the parade is?)
Please enjoy the heart of the county in quaint and quiet Brooksville for some small town fun!
