Happy Earth Day!
Nearly 40 years ago the first Earth Day was founded by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson, and almost 20 million people participated! Since that day, April 22 has been celebrated with music, environmental awareness classes, earth games, food and much laughter!
This weekend, April 25-26 in Spring Hill, Hernando County, Florida, the Green Bean Organic Market will be hosting the First Ever, Beanstock! Joe Lemieux, the owner of "The Bean", as it is known by locals, is hoping to increase environmental awareness through live music, environmentally conscious classes, face painting, karaoke, an African drum circle and of course, plenty of organic food!
"The Bean" is located at 11020 Northcliffe Blvd off of Mariner, for more information, feel free to call 352-688-7979. Hope to see you there!
As an extra Earth Day bonus, Green World Path is hosting a "virtues of recycling" class from 6-7 pm on Thursday, April 23, 2009. The guest speaker will be the one and only, Mayor of Brooksville, Joe Bernardini! The class will be held at 1665 Donto Way in Brooksville, Hernando County, Florida. Free gifts will be handed out to attendees. For more information on Green World Path, feel free to call 352-799-0200.
