WE DO!! Buccaneer Bay opens (weekends only thru June 5th except the week of April 5-12th for Spring Break) for the Season on March 27, 2010 with the former Mermaids performing on the 27th and 28th. Buccaneer Bay offers flume rides, lazy river ride on a single, double or triple tube, kiddie pool,a white sandy beach and swimming in the crystal clear waters. A shady picnic area, sandy volleyball court and of course the Tiki Bar where refreshing cold drinks are also available.
There are live mermaid shows throughout the day located in the submerged theater in the park. Visit the animal shows and mermaid gift shop where you'll find unique gifts for everyone. The River Boat Cruise offers a relaxing ride down the Weeki Wachee River or if your up to a challenge, rent your own kayak or canoe.
Admission for the show park only for adults is $13.00, children ages 5-12 $5.00 and children under 5 are FREE. Buccaneer Bay tickets are $26.00 for ages 13 and up, $12.00 for children 6-12 and kids 5 and under get in free. This daily admission includes the show park too. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park offers yearly passes at $60.00 (for an additional $15.00 you can include Buccaneer Bay Water Park), which is good for 1 year from the date of purchase and includes free admission to ALL FLORIDA STATE PARKS.
Weeki Wachee State Park is located in Hernando County Florida on the SW corner of Commercial Highway 19 and Cortez Blvd (State Rd 50). It is approximately one hour North of Tampa (Pasco County) and 30 minutes South of Homossassa (Citrus County). What a fun filled day to be had by all!
