One thing that I love about owning a home in Hernando County and selling real estate here is the sense of community one feels every day regardless of this economy. The Humane Society of the Nature Coast in Brooksville headed by Joanne Schock is one of those sweet spots in our county that most every pet lover knows and respects. Our largest social affair of the year, the Fur Ball, packs over three hundred guests at the Palace Grand in Spring Hill. The Pet Expo which just concluded last week in Tom Varn Park brought out an estimated thousand folks and dogs and cats of all different breeds and descriptions. ZooToo.com also announced that the Humane Society of the Nature Coast was in the top ten nationally for a shot at a one million dollar make over for their present facility on Wiscon Road in Brooksville. So if you haven't logged on to ZooToo.com yet and voted for the Humane Society of the Nature Coast, please be sure to do so today!
The Humane Society of the Nature Coast is only one more reason that makes home ownership here a big part of living in any of the cities in Hernando County.
