Rogers Christmas House is a tourist attraction (NO FEE) located in Brooksville, Florida (Hernando County) and is a true "attraction". It houses several buildings dating back to the 1800s that were trucked in and put on a property in Brooksville and each has a Christmas theme. It is truly unique.
There are many rooms in the main house with Christmas trees decorated to the hilt. Another room houses many collectibles (Dept. 56 and others), there is a "story room" that has characters. It is truly a place to be happy!
Unfortunately, like everything else, it has fallen on hard times and even afraudulent purchaser. The present owner thought he was selling a portion of the business to a legimate businessman, but this man gave a phoney name and it has come out that he has a very sketchy background to say the least. This particular person was going to have a tea room and a fine dining restaurant which would have fit in (specifically the tea room). He has now been arrested for some former legal problems and once again, as before, the fate of Rogers Christmas house is uncertain.
I hope that someone is able to restore this historical, free, fantasy place back!
