Ahoy! Annually in Hillsborough County, Florida the celebration of the life and death of Gasparilla takes place. This Saturday, February 7, 2009, the celebrations kick off with the Gasparilla Invasion! At 11:30 the pirate ship, Jose Gasparilla, will come into port at Hillsborough Bay! Take cover, these pirates mean business! At 2:00 p.m. these scalliwags will celebrate their victory with a parade down Bayshore Boulevard into downtown Tampa!
