A soldier in our neighborhood of Spring Hill, Florida sustained many injuries in Iraq, nine days before he was scheduled to come home. He had 54 surgeries and three years of recuperation. He is still in the Army and will be stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, so the family decided to move to Spring Hill, to be between Tampa and other relatives that live further north.
The Department of Veterans Affairs provided handicapped equipment. The family asked the American Legion if they could get some assistance and a team of o9lder veterarans rallied. The veteran volunteers have logged over some 300 hours refurbishing the home and cleaning it up.
